It's not running IOS as such, especially if it says Altiga on the front of
the box ;)
But regardless, the password recovery procedure happens in the boot rom
before any software version is loaded -- so it ought to still work. It
looks like the net has been pretty thoroughly scoured of any old-school
Altiga manuals/docs -- even the Wayback Machine at http://www.archive.org/
only has their pre-buyout index page.
Generally though.. boot it with a serial console and try to send ^C, break,
etc. Something ought to get you through to a "reset to defaults" menu :-)
