Hi all,
we are using for our small office a PIX 501 with an ADSL connection to
the Internet. The ADSL conection has an dynamic IP, of course.
As I tried to configure (with the wizzard) a VPN on the outside
interface I got an error message that I canīt configure a VPN on an
device where PPOE is configured.
Is that correct? Is there no way to use VPN Login while using PPOE?
greetings

You cannot configure PPTP on a pix with PPPOE configured.

Please provide information about the PIX 501's VPN peer (What is the
central site vpn endpoint?) Are you trying to configure a LAN-to-LAN
connection or a remote access VPN connection?

The Idea was a remote Access connection from moving entry points
(->dyn.IP) and the Fw has an dynamic IP, too.
