Anyone actually mess with one of these boxes, they even support EIGRP & HSRP

the funny thing is the product names look similar to cisco parts and they
sort of look like cisco routers.

Just curious does the OS look like IOS??

I have never used one, but I have heard they are almost exactly like Cisco
IOS.

Cisco is sueing them because it is too similar. See below.

If anybody gets their hands on one, I'd love to see the outputs of a few
of the commands that spill the guts of the system, like "show registry".
I'm sure there are a number of us who would recognize our handiwork.

Let's just say that anybody who was going to build a system from scratch
would *not* attempt to replicate the internals of IOS, even if they could
be gleaned without the source code.

Heck, even a "strings" run over the binary would be enough for someone
versed in the code to be able to tell.

A medium sized ISP recently had a Huawei sales guy visit, and the
offer was to replace all the Cisco gear with Huawei, for free. They
declined.
