OK, I'm going to try this one more time. Any insight would be greatly
appreciated.
I've got two Mandrake 9.0 boxes (and a Windows 2000 Pro box) on a private
LAN. Mandrake Box1 can ping/telnet/tracepath/etc... to Box2 without
problem. However, Mandrake Box2 cannot tracepath/telnet/etc.. to Box1; it
can ping Box1.
Box1 causes the same behavior when tracert from the Win2kP box as well.
I'm using IP addresses, rather than names, so I don't think it's DNS.
It's all local traffic, so I don't think it firewall.
It might be some access control on Box1 (I have a hosts.allow and
hosts.deny set). However, they appear OK.
I realize I might not be giving enough information here. But am not
really sure where to go next. Could somebody give me some help tracking
down the problem.
Again, any info would be greatly appreciated
